What is a tea subscription?

Our loose leaf tea subscriptions boxes allow you to discover a selection of new teas and herbal infusions each month. Rare Tea will send you a new tea(s) each month for six months, directly to your door.

Does tea make a good gift?

We believe our tea subscriptions make very special gifts for loved ones that you would like to introduce to delicious loose leaf teas. They'll receive a new delivery each month, so it's a gift that keeps on giving. The perfect way to explore a range of lovely leaves and the surprise of a new monthly order is always fun.

We like to think of our subscription boxes as a tasting experience or journey that can be enjoyed over a few months. Deliciousness that lasts.

How to choose the right tea subscription

We have a range of subscription boxes available, so there is plenty of choice. If you or your loved one enjoys a particular variety of tea you can select a specific box - black tea, white tea and green tea, or herbal tea (a good choice for someone who cannot consume caffeine). Or if you're looking for something particularly adventurous, we have our Extremely Rare Subscription Box which contains some of our most precious and unique teas.

Do note that we don't offer tea bags (just the best loose leaf tea) so if you're buying a subscription gift for someone new to loose leaf, you might want to add a teapot or infuser basket too. You can shop teaware here.

How to cancel

It's easy to pause or cancel your subscription at any time. You can do this through your account or contact our customer service team at hello@rareteacompany.com before your next subscription instalment is due to ship.

How much tea is included in each delivery?

You can choose to receive 1, 2, or 3 different pouches of tea each month.

Can I choose the box delivery date?

Your subscription will automatically ship on the same date each month, but you can pause the dispatch date if you would like it to arrive on a different day. You can check your orders and shipping dates via your Rare Tea account or email us with any questions.
