Delicious Rare Tea Company tea

Lovely tea that left me feeling energetic and restored; ready for work. All the Rare Tea Company teas have been wonderfully good and this one was as well. Ordering more!

Ethereal

The wonderful aroma gives out notes of chocolate and instills an excitement for the flavors to come! This tea is delightfully flavorful yet gentle. It is a contemplative and soothing flavor. I have never had a tea quite like it and struggle to describe it. It give me a lovely break from the daily grind and encourages me to slow down and savor the little moments! I highly recommended it and it is quite a bang for you buck.

Exceptional flavor

This is a very nice black tea. I thought it was best on its own without milk or sugar. To me it is fragrant but not flowery and became sweeter and softer with repeat infusions. I will definitely add it to my morning tea routine.

The 'Inclusive' Tea

Love drinking it either black or with milk, is light, with an earthy flavour. Great for any function.

A break from being busy Nepalese Himalayan Black Tea

I was excited to see this tea being offered by the Rare Tea Company. Having lived in Nepal and Bhutan, I decided to treat myself to this tea. I tend, like many others just now, to be at my desk without the necessary breaks we all need. So I treat the making of this tea as my excuse to take time out. It is my little treat. I love the flavour of the tea, it is quite robust, but then mellows. I admit, it is kept for my use only...allowing me a few moments to sit, reflect and savour a bit of time away from the screen.

Tasting Notes

A particularly deep black tea with notes of dark chocolate and bright citrus. Best enjoyed without milk.

The Jun Chiyabari Tea Garden

High in the Nepali Himalayas lies the tiny but extraordinarily beautiful Jun Chiyabari Tea Garden. At 1835 meters above sea level, the tea grows slowly but with intense flavours. This very special terroir produces uniquely rich, chocolate flavours.

3rd Generation

Morris Orchard

The garden is run by Morris Orchard, a third generation Nepali tea planter whose grandfather came from Britain to plant tea. This lovely man has a great respect for the land, the tea, and the small team he works with - it is an honour to be part of that.
