Origin & Craft
The perfect base for this tea is comprised of Yunnan White Silver Tip, an unusual white tea from a region predominantly know for black tea and Pu'er. Just the first leaf buds of Spring are harvested and sun dried. No further processing takes place, leading to a beautiful dried leaf. This lack of processing leads to the leaf retaining higher levels of antioxidants than other teas. Naturally low in caffeine, Yunnan White Silver Tip also has much less tannin than an oxidised leaf, leading to a sweet and bright infusion.
Henrietta then blends the lovely Silver Tip Tea with radiant Spanish Almond Blossom, grown on a rocky hillside where olives and carob trees grow amongst the Marcona almonds, beside deep, fragrant orange groves. Each flower is picked individually then carefully air dried on a muslin bed to prevent the blossoms from bruising. Farmed organically and tenderly by our friend, Ferran Rojo Sol.
Lastly, a small amount of Gujarati Rose Petals (grown in an organic smallholder co-operative) are blended into the mix, launching this blend into the stratosphere.
