A bright yet earthy tisane with rich, jammy flavours.
A caffeine free Afternoon Tea
Rooibos and Rosehip makes the perfect decaffeinated Afternoon Tea. The flavours marry deliciously with scones and clotted cream, cakes, and sandwiches. It is robust enough to hold its own beside the richest chocolate cake, and yet so elegant it won’t overpower a delicate cucumber sandwich.
It can also welcome a drop of milk, whether nut, seed or cows. For those who enjoy milk and would rather a decaf tea - we recommend this blend as a naturally caffeine free alternative. This also makes it excellent for children, perhaps with a drop of honey.
Health Benefits of Rooibos and Rosehip
In clinical trials rosehip has been shown to be an evidence based herbal medicine for inflammation and arthritis.
The ancient Chinese, Persians, Romans, and Greeks all enjoyed infusing rosehip tea and the people of the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa have been enjoying rooibos for thousands of years. Both are very ancient herbal remedies.
Although dried rosehips are not quite as rich in vitamin C as fresh, they are rich in phenolic compounds that have been shown to have significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Rooibos is not only rich in flavonoids but also contains calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium, sodium, potassium and zinc.
It is a good mild rooibos. But the rosehip was difficult to find.
My new favorite when I can't have a true tea
I love true tea, but am not always a fan of herbal tisanes. This blend changed that. It's rich & jammy, not "herbal" at all. I love it! I am also happy to read that this combination of rosehip & rooibos is good for inflammation and arthritis!
