The most delicate of all tea, unprocessed and crafted entirely from tender spring buds, high in the remote mountains of Fujian. Picked for only five days of the year, just before the buds unfurl to the first new leaves.

Also known as White Silver Needle and Baihao Yinzhen.

Mental calmness

If you find yourself needing to slow down your mental state, this is a great tea to help you with that. Best enjoyed in silence in my opinion. Kick back and cool your jets. I used to get it from a different vendor, but found that Rare Tea Co. does it best.

Silver Tip White Tea is one of my Favorites!

I've ordered both the regular Silver Tip and the Jasmine Silver Tip and love them both. I'd be hard pressed to choose a favorite! I find it light and refreshing.

Silver Tip White Tea took on special meaning after reading Henrietta Lovell's description of this restorative tea in her memoir :Infused:Adventures in Tea. It has become a morning ritual brewing a pot of this tea in my excellent glass tea pot (also from Rare Tea). This tea has a softness to it, a lovely aroma, and feels soothing like a gentle wake up call of body and mind.

A serene cup

I love this tea. It’s bright and fresh with flavors that reminded me of fresh tamarind without the tart sweetness and something floral. A great way to start the day.

Fuding, Fujian

Our white silver tip is sourced from a farm high in the Fujian mountains near the village of Fuding. This is the 'champagne' of white tea regions. Everything from picking to sorting is done by hand to exacting traditional methods. Tea may have the same name and come from the same area, but like wine, not all tea is equal.
