With honey and toffee aromas to the cup, the flavour is more reminiscent of stewed apples and red berries. There is a soft note of cedar wood and Moroccan souks with a rich hint of cocoa nibs.

Our Honeybush grows alongside indigenous forest, which provides a haven for an abundance of native birds and wildlife. Rainwater is collected in a dam for irrigation and solar panels provide power to the farm. Just like our South African Wild Rooibos, this is harvested by hand to ensure that only selected stems are cut to allow for maximum regrowth and soil stability. The Bitou Honeybush Tea farming philosophy is rooted in sustainability and the need to care for the wider ecosystem as well as the needs of their neighbouring communities whose health and wealth are interdependent with the land and must be protected to thrive, not just survive.
The farm is certified organic by Ecocert, (no pesticides, fertilisers or chemicals) and is sent for Residue Analysis prior to every harvest to ensure it remains chemical-free.
A blend of Organic Cyclopia Longifolia and Subternata Honeybush varietals, a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae, of the subfamily Faboideae. The description was published by Étienne Pierre Ventenat in 1808.

Cyclopia Longifolia - a straggling medium-leaf shrub. Longifolia has a sweet, fruity, softly spiced flavour with gentle sweetness.
