This loose leaf herbal tea is hand-harvested and crafted according to ancient Khoisan tradition where it has been used for thousands of years as a delicious as well as a healing tea. Honeybush is an indigenous plant from the Eastern Cape.

A completely natural herbal tea, chemical and caffeine-free as well as being low in tannins, rich in antioxidants, mangiferin and polyphenols, which may boost your body’s immune system, reduce inflammation and lower blood sugar levels.

Tasting Notes

With honey and toffee aromas to the cup, the flavour is more reminiscent of stewed apples and red berries. There is a soft note of cedar wood and Moroccan souks with a rich hint of cocoa nibs.

Quantity

Use 0.09oz of leaf per 5.1fl oz of water. (2.5g per 150ml).

Temperature

For the optimum infusion use 212°F (100°C) water.

Time

Infuse for 90 seconds - 3 minutes, tasting regularly.

Infusions

You can infuse this tea at least twice (with a short first infusion). With each careful infusion, different subtleties of flavour are revealed.
